Ectype is a 2D non-traditional fighting game where the purpose is to increase damage percent on your opponent in order to push them outside the boundaries of the fighting arena.

Damage percentage affects knock-back increasing your ability to land fatal hits that launch your opponents far enough beyond those boundaries to certain death. Players start with a set number of lives that decrease upon death until only one player is left standing.

Roster

Choose from 8 starting characters, each with a multitude of unique abilities at their disposal, and use a blend of offensive and defensive tactics to overwhelm your opponents. Pick from a number of stages set in various times and places with varying sizes, number of platforms and potential hazards. Use your technical ability and reactions to come up with devastating combos of limitless potential and put your opponents in their place.



Stages

Play across 6 starting stages, scattered throughout time and space. Battle on the castles of medieval Japanese daimyo, on cyberpunk city rooftops, and on a Venus colony. When you get knocked off the edge, try to get back before you fall to your death! But don't worry, there will always be another clone to replace you...
